The O2, a world-class entertainment destination on the site of the former Millennium Dome opened in July 2007. AEG Europe have partnered with O2 to create the UK’s most exciting and technically advanced music, sport and entertainment destination - The O2.
The O2 is a leisure and hospitality experience of a kind never before known in the UK. The centrepiece of The O2 is Europe’s finest indoor music and sports venue with a capacity of up to 23,000. After a phenomenal first season, The O2 arena currently attracts global stars and events to The O2, including the 2012 Olympic events.

On November 26 1922, the tomb of King Tutankhamun was discovered, unlocking the most precious treasures the world had ever known. In 1972 1.8 million guests visited the London Tutankhamun exhibition, making it the most successful exhibition in London history. Now, after more than 35 years, the treasures of Tutankhamun have returned to London one last time in the most highly anticipated exhibition ever assembled. Tiesto - In Search of Sunrise
One of the world's finest DJs is bringing his unique sound to London for what promises to be a night to remember. Tiesto has had a remarkable career and his productions constantly reach the upper echelons of Europe's most popular music charts, making him a favourite at nightclubs the world over.

The Amitabh Bachchan: Unforgettable Tour, a never-seen-before extravaganza of Indian cinema magic, will be unveiled for the first time to a UK audience on Sunday 24 August at The O2 arena. The tour will bring together on the same stage an array of Indian superstars including the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Riteish Deshmukh, Vishak and Sekab. The performance in London will also include actress and model Shilpa Shetty.

The Great Britain men’s basketball team will be the first to compete in the London Olympiad at a 2012 venue when they take on the Czech Republic at The O2 arena on September 6.
Having gained promotion to EuroBasket Division A last summer the GB men are now focusing on reaching next year’s EuroBasket finals, which would keep them on course for Olympic qualification, something no GB team has previously done.

With a new album in the pipeline - the first new studio album to carry the Queen name since the Freddie Mercury sessions – Queen is heading back on the road for a four-month tour, once again in the company of musician/singer/songwriter Paul Rodgers who joined forces with Brian May and Roger Taylor for the highly successful 2005/2006 world tour. The Tour arrives at The O2 arena in London on 13 October and 7 November.

The O2 launches the Monumental Classics Series with Carmina Burana in January 2009. Franz Abraham, the creator of the production, brings Carl Orff’s masterpiece to life with over 250 performers - including the world-renowned Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Brighton Festival Chorus and Youth Choir, as well as dancers, actors, and singers. The dramatic staging has been created by Walter Haupt, a long standing close friend of Orff himself, and features a giant set, previously only seen outside and in stadiums, sensational light projections and fireworks.

Getting to The O2

There really could be no more perfect place to site a major entertainment destination than on the banks of the River Thames at Greenwich. By whatever means guests choose to arrive they can do so with ease.
The O2 is an interesting walk from historic Greenwich, while various cycle routes lead up the peninsular to The O2 where there are cycle racks available.
The Jubilee Line is the only London Underground route that connects with all others - so national rail passengers from north, south, east or west can transfer easily to The O2’s North Greenwich station, in zone 2.
The Docklands Light Railway (DLR) also provides close connections at Canary Wharf, Cutty Sark and Greenwich.
Travel in style to The O2 along the River Thames in a Thames Clipper – a high speed boat service with luxury bar and lounge facilities. Departing every hour, it takes 30 minutes from Waterloo Pier or from London Bridge Pier in under 20. To check out the sailing times and ticket regulations, click here.
London's orbital motorway, the M25, offers easy access by road. The O2 includes 2,000 parking spaces. On event nights parking will only be pre-booked only. The car park is now open.
If travelling by bus, North Greenwich for The O2 is a major travel interchange with 7 bus routes and a frequency of up to almost a bus a minute.
Eurostar and London City Airport are just minutes from The O2 itself, offering easy access from all over the UK and Europe.
North Greenwich station has its own dedicated taxi rank.
